PROFESSIONAL MASSAGE THERAPY

Referrals

Individuals in healing professions, like all individuals, excel in different areas. Each person brings his/her/their unique talents as well as personality to every session. Finding the right practitioner is more than just looking at skills and credentials. Sometimes, I may serve you best as a sign-post to other practitioners.

I believe that multiple approaches enhance the body's healing. I want to work with you to find your best community of healing.

I have friends and colleagues in many areas of metro Atlanta, working with a variety of massage modalities (types of massage) and other wellness traditions, such as chiropractors, nutritionists, acupuncturists, psychotherapists, and other practitioners, traditional and holistic.

I  greatly respect the work of these practitioners and will gladly provide information and referrals. Below is a partial list of practitioners to whom I commonly refer clients/patients and friends.

Spiritual Direction

“So, what exactly is spiritual direction, anyway?”

"I think of spiritual direction as the exchange between a person who is seeking to explore their connection to the Holy and a trained companion who journeys along with them. (I use the term Holy with the understanding it can be called by many other names – God, Jesus, Spirit, YHWH, Sophia, Higher Power, are just a few.) I think it is also appropriate to mention here what spiritual direction isn’t. It is not therapy, or pastoral counseling. When I sit with a directee, it is not my role to look for solutions to problems. Rather, it is my role to listen attentively as they talk about their lives, to wonder with them where the Holy may be present, and reflect back to them what I am hearing and observing."  - Mary Martha Riviere

Mary Martha Riviere - RiviereSD21@gmail.com - Now that Mary Martha has retired from her previous career, she is looking forward to focusing on her Spiritual Director and Dream work practice.
